Shop 4% Friday on March 24th to Support Camp Korey

The mission of Camp Korey is to honor the courage, strength, and determination of children and their families living with life-altering medical conditions by providing them with a transformational experience in a fun, safe camp environment with specialized medical support.

Annually, Camp Korey serves over 1,800 children and families living with one or more of 90 medical conditions, including craniofacial differences, solid organ transplants, metabolic bone disorders, skeletal dysplasia, Reconstructive Pelvic Medicine, Differences in Sex Development, Sickle Cell Disease, Irritable Bowel Disease, mitochondrial disease, Turner Syndrome, and pediatric brain injury.

How Will Your Shopping Trip Support Camp Korey?

Funds from 4% Friday will be used to create a compost and garden program to empower campers to be good earth stewards through food waste awareness, sustainability, and gardening.

Campers will learn how to determine what food waste can be composted, deposit food waste and create compost in a tumbler, distribute compost as fertilizer in the camp garden, and harvest fresh vegetables for camp meals. Expenses include program staff, 4 food waste bins, starter compost, plant identification signage, and plant starters.
