What you think you know about grocery store bakeries doesn’t apply here. The Skagit Valley Food Co‑op Bakery has been churning out exceptional baked goods for decades: rustic breads, chewy cookies, and drool-worthy pastries—all fresher than fresh and made from scratch. Gluten-free, vegan, and all-out delicious, there’s something for everyone in the Co-op Bakery!

Artisan Breads

We mastered the sourdough loaf before it was trendy. In fact, our sourdough starter is over 100 years old, and if that doesn’t say tried-and-true, we’d encourage you to try a loaf for yourself. Our sourdough, along with all of our rustic breads, are fresh and full of flavor. Find them in the bread aisle and in the Deli.

The Power of Flour

As bakers and pastry chefs who transform simple, high quality ingredients by hand into delectable foods, we know that it all starts with the flour. That’s why we use Shepherd’s Grain Non-GMO Certified flour. Not only does its superior quality and consistency mean you get the perfect pastry every time, it’s sustainably grown by farmers committed to regenerating the land. So when you indulge in a Co-op Bakery treat, you’re helping to sustain the soil, the environment, and the future of family farming. Bravo, flour child.

Espresso Torte
