How Will Your Shopping Trip Support Children of the Valley?
Each week students participate in a gardening and cooking club where they plant and cultivate a variety of crops to harvest and cook with throughout the year. COV is in need of the necessary supplies and items in order to plant and prepare these various activities that are planned.
This year, COV students plan to make stone soup, cornbread, pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread, and other items from the food that’s harvested. 4% Friday funds will support the purchase of ingredients for cooking, seeds for planting, youth gardening gloves, shovels, hoes and other gardening tools students can use along with a bench to place in the garden to conduct learning activities while in the garden.
