In late September, we closed down our bulk section for a few days to give the department a much-needed update and refresh. We installed new gravity bins for less scooping and less spillage, and we introduced several new items our customers have been asking for!

Lentils are rich in nutrients, protein, and fiber and are a great textural addition to soup, salad, and more. Lentils do a great job of taking on the flavor of whatever you cook them in, making them versatile enough to be used in basically any type of cuisine.

Here, black lentils are combined with diced veggies and a varierty of spices to create a healthy, warming soup.

One of the best ways to meal prep for the week with lentils is to toss them together into a salad!

Quick Braised Lentils with Blistered Tomatoes and Kale
