Shop 4% Friday on June 23rd to Support Food To Go!

Food to Go is a weekend backpack food program serving children in the Anacortes School District. Food to Go provides 2 lunches, 2 breakfasts, healthy snacks, mac & cheese, and fresh fruit every Friday to children who are food insecure over the weekends. Most received free or reduced breakfast and lunch at school during the week.

How Will Your Shopping Trip Support Food To Go?

Times have been challenging with COVID and the rising cost of groceries. Food to Go has been able to continue to distribute bags every week. Food to Go packs about 400 bags for children and are currently suppling granola bars and apples to Anacortes High School and Cap Sante High School.

Food to Go also provides bags to the Anacortes Family Center and granola bars for an after-school program at Mt. Erie elementary school. 

Food to Go has returned to delivering bags to the schools for elementary students but are also home delivering some bags for older students. Funds from 4% Friday will be used to purchase food for children.
