The Skagit Valley Food Co-op is looking for a positive, energetic, organized and detail oriented individual to help support our 2020 Vision (look it up on our website!).

Support the Grocery Department with highly detailed and time-sensitive tasks such as
* New item placement
* Shelf product maintenance and resets
* Weekly display and merchandising orders
* Weekly display building
* Holiday and seasonal decorations
* Organize demo and sampling schedules (and sometimes be the sampler)
* Prepare display signs and other merchandising materials
* Give awesome service to our customers and staff

This is a physically demanding position. Must be able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs. This is also a collaborative position — must work well in a team setting, be a good listener and follow through with commitments.

Availability: Must be able to work 34-40 hours Tuesday — Saturday with some early morning and some late evening hours. Flexibility (and enthusiasm) needed for special projects.

The Cheese Specialist ensures a positive shopping experience for customers by providing information about products in our cheese department, including recipe suggestions. Will cut and wrap cheese and keep cheese cases and olive bar attractive.

Experience with scales, scanner, keyboard, good math skills, oral communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. An interest in cheese products a plus.

The Co-op is opened Mon-Sat 8am-9pm and Sun 9am-9pm. Candidates must be available to work during these times.


Work in our award-winning Deli with a supportive and fun team who are dedicated to excellent customer service. Assist our customers with fast, efficient, friendly service. Be aware of special needs of customers in regards to food allergies, etc. Display, rotate, and handle food based on training and health department standards. Customer service experience preferred. Restaurant, food, and/or barista experience is a must.

Must be able to work all stations of the Deli: front line, cashier, sandwich, floor, and espresso.

This position requires weekends and evenings. The Co-op is open daily until 9pm so flexibility is a must.
