Also now in are the Beans, squashes, peppers, eggplant and our second most asked about plants –Basil. Basil comes in several varieties including Italian Large Leaf,Genovese,Thai,Lemon and Purple. Even though it is slowly warming and drying up around here;still give the warm weather loving plants a bit of protection at night from temperatures lower than 50.

Brighten salads and summer meals with edible nasturtium flowers and leaves. The seeds are even called ‘poor man’s capers’when pickled. Regularly priced $1.69 sale $1.29.

We are going to be out with our white tent assisting customers with their basket plantings this Sat and Sun,May 5 and 6-from 11 until 3. Let us clean up the dirt as you put together your summer creations with our collection of container plants from various local growers. Terrific selection of petunias, fuchsias, verbenas and much, much more. We have a limited number of hanging baskets and coco fiber liners available.

Slow Release Mosquito Dunks also on sale this month in the 2pack and the 6pack. There have already been signs of mosquito larvae about. Get them before they get you! Don’t forget to dump out standing water on your property;especially after rain. Mosquitoes need very little water to breed.

Remember, Mother’s Day is coming up May 13. We are stocking up for the event with bouquets,Fair Trade roses, orchid sprays and many more gift items for all the Moms in your life.
Hope everyone is able to get out in the Garden this week, between the raindrops anyway.
