It’s Summer Farm Tour time! next Tuesday,August 30th,we’re gathering at Hedlin Family Farm in La Conner,for a tour behind the scenes with farmer Kai Ottesen.
Meet up at the Co-op at 10:30 to form carpools,or meet us at the Hedlin farm stand at 11am –bring sturdy shoes and rain protection if it’s cloudy…
We’ll check out the crop tunnels,market garden,flowers,row crops,wash and pack system,and their farm stand. Come see where many of your organic fresh veggies come from and learn what the harvest season looks like from a farmer’s perspective.
Directions:
Meet at the Co-op front entrance at 10:30am or to drive from Mount Vernon,cross the Westside bridge and take the first jog to your left onto McClean Road. Follow it past the Best Rd roundabout and turn Left on La Conner Whitney Road. Follow that into La Conner and pull into the Hedlin farm stand on the South end of the La Conner.
