Organic Golden Delicious
Grant Gibbs has brought us one last delivery of Organic Winesap and Organic Golden Delicious Apples from his orchard near Leavenworth. Brownfield Orchard is all done with Organic Honeycrisp apples for the year,but we will continue to offer them from other sources. The size will be smaller and the quality not quite as peak as Brownfield,but the price will be low –$1.69 lb –good for juicing and sauce. Other local crops are completely done until spring warms up the ground and a new growing season begins. Hedlin Farm in LaConner is the exception with Organic Collard Greens and Organic Yellow Onions. What few greens we can get are coming from California right now. Organic Lettuce,Broccoli,and Cauliflower have been challenging to source,which means their prices are a bit high right now.
Organic Minneola Tangelos are deep orange and have a distinctive "outy"navel. Easy to peel!
Citrus season is heating up with more varieties of mandarins,tangerines,and tangelos coming in every week. Minneola Tangelos,Orlando Tangelos,Sunburst Tangerines,Page Mandarins,and Satsumas are all $1.99 lb. Organic Valencia Oranges are $1.19 lb.
