OCTOBER

Paleolithic “Cave Man” Diet

With Suneil Polly RN ND,Lac Alive and Well Acupuncture

Tuesday,October 2 6:30 Room 309 Free

The Paleo Diet is one of the trendiest diets in recent years, adopted by superstars like Megan Fox and Uma Thurman as well as athletes who find it helps with endurance, performance and fat loss. It is based on natural proteins and fats, fruits and vegetables;no sugar, grains or dairy allowed. According to proponents, the human body works best (and looks best) when it is fed food that Stone Age humans ate, such as grass-fed meat and vegetables. Foods added later to the human diet, like grains, are a cause of the inflammation that leads to many chronic diseases,as well as weight gain.

As a Naturopath,Dr. Polley will look at the real benefits and sustainability of the Paleo Diet from a physician’s perspective, according to recent research. Join us Tuesday Oct 2nd to learn the core principles of the diet and sample some Paleo cooking! More information at:www.goaliveandwell.com.
